Where
You Stay
There are currently three hand-crafted log guest cabins at the 'Escape, each 480 sq ft and visually isolated in order to enhance guest privacy. Each cabin is equipped with a queen-sized bed, sofa (1 cabin) or double fold-down futon (2 cabins), rocker chair, wood burning stove, full bath (tub/shower unit with hot and cold running water and indoor plumbing!) and double propane burner for complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocolate. We provide all bedding and linen, of course, and kindling and firewood is stacked on the deck for use in the stove.
Cooking is not allowed in the cabins, as we are in a wilderness environment and do not want to entice Mother Nature's less-lovable creatures to inspect a cabin. Instead, meals are prepared on a wood cook stove or, weather permitting, on an open campfire and served family-style in a central cook house. Cowboy cuisine and bush baking are standard fare, and Laura is always happy to modify her menu to meet special dietary requirements.
